lumber was down, a good many projects that had been held up were
dug out and reflgured and no appreciable reduction in price was shown.
Lumber was figured much low er. but due consideration was not given
the tact that the cost or ordinary construction was nearly 80 per cent
tor items other than lumber and which had not been reduced at all.
Consequently. the substantial reduction in lumber did not make a very
material difference in the cost of a job and the plans were
wya again. Under this condition it seems necessary to us that the»
