The New York Bloomer Girls. who
are to play the Nervous. Sunday aft-
ernoon. on Malone Field. are the ac-
knowledged champions of the East.
Organized in 1910. and playing base-
ball consecutively every season since.
they haVe established many records.
On May 29th the New York Blootner
Girls met the Quaker City Bloemer
Girls. at thnixville. Pa.. who dis-
puted their claim to the female cham~
pionship. In a nine-inning regulation
game. with an all female lineup. the
New York Bloomer Girls came out on
top with the big score of 40-9, mak-
ing sixteen extra base hits. So far
this season the Bloomer Girls have
played such prominent teams as the

Aberfoyles. of Chester. Pa: Ted Walk-
er's club, of Easton; Stintons. of Ger-
mantown. Pa; Sprague Electrics. of

On leaving Norwalk the Bloomer
Girls will tour the entire western part
of Pennsylvania: also. parts of Ohio.
bordering Pennsylvania. and up
through the vicinity of Buffalo. re-
turning to New York around Labor
Day.
Toots Andres. on third. and Stella
Fries. on first base. are two of the
finest female players ever developed.
The Bloomer Girls will‘arrive in
Norwalk at 1:30. and will be escorted
to a local hotel. and will then be hur-
ried to the grounds. .
The largest crowd that ever attend-
ed a baseball game in Norwalk is ex-
pected. and the field will be roped on
both sides of the outfield.
