Natale Passes Amendment Concern-
ing Inheritance Assessnlmlt.
As the result of an amendment in-
troduced by Senator Seymour of this
city. a House bill favorably reported
by the. judiciary committee and de—
signed to exempt from the inheritance
and trapsfer taxes bequests made to
charitable it‘istitutions without the
state. was yesterday by action of the,
Senate made to include bequests to
charities within the state. Senator
Brown said it was a question of policy
and that the effect would be to change
the law towards all charitable insti-
tutions. He said the tax commission-
er had opposed another bill having a
similtir provision and that measure custody after he had let of? passengers
