numerous selections and the quartet
was heard from several times. Gen-
eral singing at the old popular songs
found much favor.
Following the dinner. Arthur C.
Wheeler. district trustee of the Kiwa-
nis organimtion. welcomed the guests
of the club with Well-chosen words.
This was followed by another se-
lection by the Lotus Quartet. after
which the president of the local Kiwa-
nians, Frederick L. Lamson. explained
the purpose of the roll call. a distinct-
ive feature of the Kiwanis organiza-
tions.
At this juncture, crepe paper bats
were distributed to the men and caus-
ed considerable amusement.
The attendanée*prizes were drawn
and were Won by Miss Helen Capes
and James M. Kelley. The lucky num-
ber. for the first prize—was drawn by
Mrs. Charles C. \Vhitehead. and sec-
ond number. by Duncan Frizzell.
Roll call followed. a proceeding
which proved of great interest to the
women and guests. Much joviality

featured by the singing of songs.
