vent useless trips tq court by jurymen.
George A. Conant. of the Hartford
County Superior Court. declared that
the present system was as fair as
could be devised. and that the only
way to cut expenses is to stop so many
persons from getting into legal diffi-
culties._
The Board voted the requests of all
the courts. with an explanation by
Governor Lake that the Borisd was
simply cndcavoring to promote econ-
omy wherever it could be done
