the fire hydrant situation. it was
reported that the commisionersof the
first Taxing District had retained
counsel and were to make an endeav-
or to have the suit of the First Dis-
trict against the third set for an ear-
ly trial in the higher courts. it will
be recalled that when action was
first started, two years ago for a
claim of $1.000 for water furnished
by the first to the third district in
the fire hydrants, damages of $1.000
were claimed, and the first district
endeavored to shut off the water. but
that an injunction was obtained by
the third district restraining the first
district from shutting the water off.
This injunction is still in force but.
the case had been carried from dock-

of the Rowayton Baptist Church met
in the basement of the church to per-
fect arrangements for entertaining
the delegates from 25 (‘hurches ex-

Baptist Association which is held
there next Wednesday. September 29.
Supper was served with several of
the men and other members of fami-
lies in attendance after which the
regular mid-week meeting was en-
joyed by all present. At the close of
the regular prayer meeting a vote
was taken to extend a cordial invita-
tion to the pastor and people of the
Methodist Church to attend the ses-
sions of he Association.
