Lovers of daring feats were enter-
tained by two exhibitions yesterday
by Charles O'Rourke, the "human
fly.” when he climbed the face of the
Keclcr building on Washington street
at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon and
again at 7:30 o'clock last night. He
also performed a number of hair-
raising turns on the roof projections.
Quite a large crowd assembled in
the street to watch the ascent of the
human fly and his tricks on the way
up were received with noisy demon-
strations of approval from the spec-
taitors. .
O’Rourke not only climbed the
building. but fooled about on the
edge of the roof for a considerable
period or time. “'hen be found there
was nothing else to climb he made
his best matinee bow and disappeared
over the edge of the roof and soon
made his reappearance in the street
again.
O'Rourke has climbed some or the
notable buildings in the United Staten
and has never met with an accident.
