Permanent Bonds of Liberty Loans
Are Ready at Banks.
Holders of temporary four per cent.
and tour and one-fourth per cent. cou-
pon Liberty bonds in this Federal Re-
serve district who have not exchang-
ed their temporary bonds tor the per-
manent bonds. with all coupons at-
tached, are entitled to do so, under
regulations of the United States
Treasury, by surrendering their tem
porary bonds to their own banks or
the Federal Reserse Bank of New
York. The permanent bonds of all is-
sues are now ready for delivery ex-
cept the permanent First lberty
Loan, Second Converted and Fourth
four and one-fourths. which will be
available on dates to be announced
later.
There is no way for the holders of
the temporary bonds to collect inter-
est due after the date of the last
coupon on the temporaries unless they
exchange them. The exchange should,
new permanent bonds have all cou-
pons to maturity and do not have to
lbe exchanged again. These exchang-
‘es have been taking place for several
months and the larger investors in
lLiberty bonds have promptly effected
{the exchange and obtained the new
Ibondlll. It is the small investors, not
accustomed to cashing bond coupons.
who are urged to get the permanent
bonds to which they are entitled and
benefit by being able to clip their cou-
pons and collect the interest when
due.
