anice, who together with Charles Mell-
seark and Bcnny Locknicki. new; con-
vicied of the murder of Frank An-
drews. a collector, is to be deported.
Howanice was sentenced to one years
imprisonment for his part in the hold-
up and murder of Andrews. The
other two are serving sentences of
20 years apiece in State‘s prison. 1311”-
in; his stay in prison, Howaalce’s wife
and family had become charges on
the town of Stamford and also on the
State. .
Yesterday morning Howanire was
taken from State's Prison. by order of
the Federal authorities and was
brought to Stamford. He was «placed
in the city lock—up. His wife was ord-
er )d to make ready to depart and this
morning, he and his family left in
custody of the Federal officer. for
New York. where he will ‘be placed on
board a ship which will take the fami-
ly back to Poland; their native counu
try.
