The Connecticut Retail Liquor Deal-
ers’ Association, in which the major-
ity of theliquor dealers in thfs city
had’membership, has disbanded and
ls to he succeeded by a. new organiza-
tion, to be known as the Connecticut
' Association Opposed to Prohibition.
The final meeting of the old associa-
tion was held in New Haven recently.
The members of the association de—
clared, says the New Haven Journal-
Courier, that they would take ,, the
present situation philosophically and
endeavor to comply with the law.
"The decision of the Supreme court
upholding ,the National ‘ Prohibition
laws.“ was discussed. but the ,,mem~
hers, having been, deefated in their
efforts to attack the Prohibition law,
by the declslon of the highest tribu-
nal in the-alnd, accepted it in good
grace and many‘ of them’ who have
been» preparing for the edict, will em-
ber kin a. new venture in business,”
says the New Haven paper.
