So great is the demand for trucks to
transport freight, that within the past
two days many beer trucks have ap-
peared, loaded with butter. eggs. milk,
EBB, Bohemia, April 17.——Max
Hoelz, the Communist leader of Plan-
en, Saxony, had 130,000 marks in his

late last week. Hoelz and a compan-
ion named Webel have begun a hunger
strike. and have refused to give an-
thorities any information regarding
flour cheese. potatoes and sugar. A.the Communist nTGchent in Saxony.
driver said that many of the trucks ,
which formerly transported the prod-
uct of breweries are being sold or less-
ed to forwarding companies and the
old names are painted out,xbut the need
has recently been so great. that there
has been no time to repaint the trucks.
The Post Road yesterday was so
.crowdeh that in places it was impass-
able for touring cars. Saturday night
there were eight trucks on Wall
Street, all bound for eastern points, the 1
drivers of which stopped to visit res
taurants. As many appeared bound
west. and their drivers also took fime
to eat. There. was a: line or five-ton
trucks such as has neverbefore been
seen in the heart of the City, but. the)
proceeded on their way smoothly, and
were not in the way of any one.
