should try to realize that providing a
hospital with garments and linens is
an altogether different matter from
providing a household with these ar-
tices. for in a hospital the constant
washing, sterilizing and disinfecting
eventually rots the fabric. and so gar-
ments wear out. much more quickly
than they do in the home.
All this must be taken into consid
eration when purchasing materials for
the workers to make into various ar-
ticles and only the strongest and best
of goods must be used. Almost every-
one is acquainted with the high cost of
all kinds of material and it is readily
understood that a great deal of money
