A clever touch comes early in the
'story when Rosie Mendelsohn (played
by Madge Kennedy) receives her
'sweetheart (John Bowers) in the ten-
cment tailor shop of her father (Tully
Marshall). The old man docs not ap-
prove of the young swain. his chief
objection arising from the fact that
the poet-suitor uses a typewriter and
thus proves that he is unorthodox.
Yet the parent will allow him to sit
with Rosie in the shop while he keeps
sharp watch on them. To do this he
crumples a bit or clot and stuffs it Do
hind the mirror so that it tilt.»- con-
vcnicntiy. allowing the old man to sun
and sec at tho snmc time. it is a ov-
lightful bit of human nature.
