General Francisco Alvarez was tak-

of Pedro Gnvay, one of the moat ac-
tive lieutenants of Feliz Dita.
Von. Cruz papers have recently
‘ been printing numerous . stories re-
garding General Bianquet's proposed
revolt. These stories have been pub-
lished in the United States, but Gen-
eral Bianquet's claim that he had
.40,N0 men with artillery and an
airplane, and that he was allied with
other factions. has been scouted oili-
cially. The hand which General
Blanquet was hurling “hen he was
killed was small and was poorly
equipped. it is reported.
General Aureliano Blanquet sailed
from New York for a port in the West
indies on Jan. 8 last. He was pro-
vided with passports and credentials,
but the fact of his departure was
. known to only a few of his intimate
friends. He was accompanied by
General Juan Montana and Brig-Gen-
eral Enrique Gonzales, with some
minor oflicers. The party landed at
Jan unirequented Mexican port late
in March and was met by a guard
sent by Felix Dial and was escorted
to Texpalaxvo, the headquarters of
the Diaz forces. Since that time.
there have been reports of opera-
tions by General Blanquet and his
chief, Senor Din.
General Bianquet was 71 years old.
