dent here, died yesterday afternoon at
his residencé, 5 Russell
the seventy-eighth ear of his age. Mr.
Ferris was born i 80-h Nonwalh. the
son of the late Stephen G.. and Mary
,A. Ferris. the family residence being
'located on the property now owned
by Charles T. Dimond in West avenue.
As a young man he was employed
in the National Bank of Norwalk. La-
ter he went to New York City and en-
gaged in the produce business. He
formed‘a partnership with his brothel-

business was most successful and Mr.
Ferris was active in its affairs until.
