an effort to mobilize the nursing power
of the city.'
The government has requested the
National headquarters to make such a
survey and the'local chapters were
then instructed by the National omcers
as to the methods of preceudure.
The number of graduate nurses. tin-
tiergraduate nurses. pupil nurses.
trained attendants. domestic nurses
and mid-wives in this city is to be as
certained and their. names forwarded
to Washington for future reference.
Such steps have been found neces
sttry because of the scarcity of nurses
for Federal service. The survey will
he started'immedialely by the mem-
bers of the local chapter and it is re-
quested that all answers be given
readily to the questions on the ques-
tionarrcs which will be pesentcd by
representatives of the Red Cross.
