Mrs. Frederick H. Field, of 36 Bur-
rit avenue, returned yesterday from
.Stamford. Court, where she has been
undergoing special treatment for the
past six weeks at the private sanitar-
. ium of Dr. E. G. Peckham. a specialist
in the treatment’of neuritis. Mrs. Field
has been suffering for the past sever-
al months with neuritis in the left
hand and arm. but under the expert
care of Dr. Pecltham. she has improved
steadily and now will he able to stay
at her own home and commute to
Stamford for treatment three times
weekly. This is indeed pleasing news
to her many friends. who now are
hopeful for. a speedy. complete recov-_
ery. »

Both Thomas and Hawkins were
charged with the murder of Morris
Panell in the riot at the Keystone
club on Water street on the night of
January 8 when a large number of pol-
icemen and firemen were called to

Twenty~four witnesses. most of
them policemen who took part in the
quelling of the riot. were called as
witnesses yesterday before the grand
Jury. The first witness was L. F).
