. To The Trade:-
On account of the necessities of the war, the Government
has taken six of our tank steamers, for use in Trans-Atlantic
service, which were formerly used in carrying Gull products
tram our refine ries in the South to North Atlantic ports.
This leaves us at present with about fitfy per cent. of our
former ocean carrying capabity, whidt must now be largely
used in carrying oil to sustain the continued operations of many
public service corporations with whom we have contracts, all
otwhich is working a treatments] loss to us o3 well as valued
trade. an monk-we have found it necessary to temporarily
discontinue the sale of kerosene and gasoline from our Station
at Norwalk. ‘ ' .
It is our intention to continue to mat-loot lubricating oil, Su-
preme Auto Oil and grass. at this Stition, for the convenience
, of our customers and tor the purpose of maintaining, as tar as
possible, out-organization.
We regret very much the necessity for this temporary sus-
pension and the great inconvenience that must be sufi'ered by
