state food administrator. i.
‘ Recently it came to the attention oft~
the administrator. the summer merit
says, that this class of sugar nasi
being sold at eleven cents in this and
other Connecticut cities. The state
administrator communicated with
Worthington. and today received word
irom there to the enect that the base
price for corn sugar is 6.25 cents a
pound and with wholesalers and
freight charges should. cost the retail-
er under seven cents a pound, making
the price to the consumer eight cent;-
and in any case not over nine cents.
