The registration at the schools this!
morning showed a general increase;
especially in the schools in the out-
lying districts. In the lower section
of the city the following was the reg-
istration this morning: West Norwalk,
40; Rowayton, 123; Marvin. 257, omit-
ting the seventh and eighth grades;
Franklin. 534: Fitch, 212; Washington
school 285; and Putnam school, 111.
The figures from the Knudsen school,
the Concord school. the Brookslde
school, the Norwalk high school and
the Lincoln school could not be ob,
tained up to press time. but it is un-;
derstood that. the figures are. above
those of last year and that a number of;
pupils more will be admitted before;
the week is out. The. exact figures for,
the registration of all schools for the,
year are expected to be ready in aboutt
