situation that the lumber trade is facing; It is possible that you
have given this matter your best consideration, ahd it is probable
that you have not, and as customers and friends of ours it is our ,
uuty to try and bring this matter in its critical form to your
immediate attention.

We are notified by all the big railroads' in the country that
while we can have cars at present under certain conditions, we
must so adjust our business that we will be prepared to face a
car shortage such as manufacturers and shippers have never
dreamed of, and that in the near future.

At this time, then, i't is Well to consider and anticipate your

tage of any temporary relief afforded by a better supply for
lumber shipments.
