BRIDGEPORT. June 2i.—As an after
math of the campaign for subscrip-
tions to the Liberty man many men
have lost good paying jobs in muni-
tion plants and war material factories
here, and many more are ‘Iikely soon
to suffer in the same way. In near-
ly every instance. the discharge was
because of the insistence of fellow
workers and in some cases against
the protests of the employers.
During the days when the Liberty
Loan subscription was in progress
enthusiasm was great in many of the
factories. In somé departments every
individual took a bond. Among the
thousands or workers. however, there
were some who not only refused to
buy, but refused with un-Amerlcan
explanations. These sentiments were
resented bytheir fellow 1worker-e and
after-the subscriptions closed de-
mantis were.ma‘de on the employers
that the unpatriotic ones be dis-
charged. Theae demands have been
