worth of his Plattsburgh training. He
stopped a team of ho. >85

clip. It was only after some eilort
and danger to himself that Mr. Doltus
brought the team to a halt.
The team of horses belonged to the
lSiiver Lake Ice Company and were
harnessed to a heavy ionwagon. They
were standing alongside of the curb
near Unholtz’s meat market on North
Main street, when an engine came
across the Washington street bridge
"and emitted a fearful shriek. The
lhorses became frightened and started
up North Main street for all they
Iwere worth. Mr. Dokus was going 1n
the same direction and when he saw
the incident ran alongside of the bore
es and brought them to a halt. No
carnage was done.
