While on his way homo from the
moving pictures last evening.’ about
five o'clock. Louis St.,.lohn Waring
of 32 East avenue, well known in
Norwalk. was taken suddenly ill in
Lewis street, and before medical aid
could be secured, passed nway in the
residence of Mrs. Louis Taylor.
Mr. Waring was seventy years of
age, and was a native of New Canaan.
He lived in that towtt until he was
nineteen years of age. at which time
he went to New York City, where he
entered the linen business. Up until
three years-ago when he retired from
active business life on account of ill
health, he was one of New York‘s best
known merchants.
Upon his retirement from business,
Mr. Wuring came to Norwalk. and has i.
"lived in East avenue for three years.
During that time he has cultivated a
host of loving friends in this city who
were deeply shocked and grieved this
morning to hear of his sudden demise.
-Apporently feeling quite well, Mr.
Waring left his home yesterday of-
ternoon and attended the matinee
performance oi the moving pictures.
On his way home he got us for as
