last night say that mountain slides,
caused by heavy rains. have covered
the Louisville and Nashville Railroad
tracks. stopping all ironic. Two ser-
ious slides occurred within a mile,
destroying the entire roadbed. The
mining town of Ely Hollow, in Knotl
County, Ky.. received the full brunt
of the storm. Several houses were
washed away and several persons re-
ported injured.

ber of the international Board of the
United Mine Workers of Ann-lea.
Under another indictment growing
out of has Animas strike disorders.
Lawson was iound guilty of first de-
gree murder and sentenced to life
imprisonment. lie is at liberty on
bail pending action by the state su-
preme court upon an appeal.
