Lawrence Riding Head Down Did Not
See Jitney.
TORRINGTON, July 2i.—Frank
Lawrence, while riding his motorcycle
on the road to Tliomasion at 7.15 3'-
clock last evening, ran into T. J. Ly-
ons’s' jitncy at the brige in East Litch-
field and was killed_ Lawrence was
said by those who witnessed the acci-
dent to have been riding fast with his
head down and apparently did not see
the automobile. He was thrown over
the car and both, arms and legs were
broken and he was internaly injured.
He died while being taken to the bitch-
field County hospital In Winsted. The
motorcycle was wrecked and the au-
itomobile was so badly damaged that
'it had to be towed into Torrington.
It was driven by Luke Brennan and
’at the time of the accident was on
the right hand side of the road. The
jdriver was not held responsible for
the accident,
Law'rence leaves a wife-and son,
