To grind the valves in your motor
it will be necessary to remove the
head. . In doing so the timing will be
deranged. Note the position of the
distributor arm and replace it in
the same position. Remove the plates
at aides to get at the valve stems.
Pull out split washer which releases
spring and valve may"bo removed.
Use any good grinding compound or
emery and oil. Mix to consistency
of thick cream, l. e., so it will just
tiow. Place a little on face, of valve,
being careful to get ache on stem of
valve. Replace valve and see that it
seats properly. If valve lifter holds
it open. crank engine until valve
