by herself. In this she enacts the
role assumed by Miss Mersereau in,

girl grown up. Miss Reicherts has
some intensely emotional passages to

view. and the manner in which she
achieves her purpose would do credit
to any players of more mature years
The little girl is the idol of her
father who, in the photoplay, is the
American consul at Hong Kong. The
mother has died. leaning the child as

a murderous (‘thinaman to rob the
*l‘t‘flsulalt’. He kills the father and it
is the little girl who runs in to find
her beloved parent slain and sounds
the alarm.
