Owing to the inclement weather

School. Consequently, this meeting
which was to have been the annual
meeting. had to be postponed. A call},

meeting of the school.
Trolley cars, will leave the church,
this Saturday morning at ten o'clock.
for Roton Point, carrying the child,

nual picnic, which will be held this
year. at the local resort. The picnic-
ers will spend the day at Norwalk‘s
popular shore resort. and trolley cars
will leave Roton for home, at six
o'clock. Two cars have been engag-
ed to carry the crowd to and from the

service eight new Mikado engine;
bigger than anything heretofore oper-t

The new engines are 72 feet. 4%
inches over all. The engines weigh,
500,000. This is 66,000 pounds more

trolley car as the car was going
through Seaside Park and made him:

LIGHTNING STRUCK ENGINE.
A New Haven road electric engine
was struck by llghming in the last
thunder shower, and its engineer
Peter F. Doyle. burned about the
face and hands. The bolt [dropped
down through a transformer on the
engine and set fire to the insulation.
The engine was in the Westchester
yards at the time.
