the aged man following the death or
his wile six months ago. It was at
the suggestion of Ida Tarbell, the not—
ed magazine writer, who lives just
around the corner from the Ferris
homestead, that George secured a Mr
Slecn. at one lime in the employ of
Miss Tarbell. as a companion for Mr.
Ferris during the winter mourns.
George, it was brought out, paid fre-
quent visits to the aged man to see
that he was being properly cared lor.
