The men employed on the construc
tion work on the new bridge. worked
all day yesteday. The filling in of the
foundation for pier three was ncarly
completed. Another boiler has recent-
ly been brought here by the contrac-
tors from Norwalk. it is expected
that the electric motor will be ready
soon in use in pumping out the cot-
ferdam for pier five. it is thought
that a large gang of men will be put
to work soon. At the present time
there is no need of more men as it is
impossible to do very much work on
account of the weather.
