The bottom section of case can (be

ported by bearings attached to the
upper part of crank case. When this
case in relnoted the crank shaft and
connecting rod bearings are all ex-
posed to view. Each bearing can be
adjusted by removing bearing cap and
then removing thin shims from each
side. Replace the bearing cap and
bring nuts up snugly, being careful
to bring notches of the castle nut in
iine with hole through bolt Then
test by cranking motor, being careful
not to have bearings too tight. if
bearings are considerably worn the
whole motor will have to be taken
down and the bearings properly
scraped in and adjustments made.
