work at the. start of the war and has
gbecn doing for the. last months the
regular ambulance service for one of
the French Army Divisons. it is ac-
cordinglv held in high esteem and
thoth the methods of conducting it
iand the 111911111 of its volunteers have
ibecn highly commended by the
ii-‘rcnch Army andimodical authorities.
_ The essential requirements for vol-
lumeci's are that they should be good
:Americans in sound health. cap-able
i111 withstanding liatdships anti doing
jhmd and trying work in connection
with wounded men with kindness and
iwithout complaint. Volunteers should
ialso be good tempered and capable of
lgetting on well with other men of all
:kinds and conditions In addition
they must be, able to drive a motor

1tached to the Corps have been prin-
cipally American College graduates
from 25 to 50 years old, and are a
line and agreeable set of men to be
