Light, as Clerk of Court of the City
of Norwalk. it became known this
afternoon Vliat Alitoruey Light had
taken such action and that he. had
forwarded his resignation to Judge
ieorge H. Vosburgh. The Judge ver-
ified the rumor when spoken about
the matter. He said that Mr. Light
has been considering the mutter of
resigning for some time. but he had
hoped to persuade him to reconsider
his intention and continue as a mem-
her of the family of city courtofll~

Attorney Light is a member!” the
law firm of Light & 'nght,’ and beds
retiringjfmm Allie clerkship on account
of the limits legal business requiring
all the attention. He has been a
very efficient clerk and his legal
friends regret his action.
The resignation leaves an opening
in the clerkship, which will have to
be filled by Judge Vosburgh before
the first of January when Mr. Light's
resignation takes effect. It is under-
stood that several attorneys are be-»
ing considered for the appointment
but the Judge refuses to commit him-
self in the matter. ' '
