All of the “Freaky Ford" stories
are not pure fiction as is proved by
the experience of two prominent bus-
iness men who were driving on the
turnpike near Darlen Sunday evening.
Seeing a big crowd ahead they stop
found that one of the ubiquitous "Tin
ilezles" had rim down a good-sized
calf. The animal was almost hidden
from sight under the car and was
bloating earnestly to be taken away
from there. Just as the Norwalh
lusty 'Darlenltes grabbed the Ford
and lifting it bodily from the ground
gave one of the bystanders a chance
to grab the animal by the hind‘ legs
and draw it from under its prison.
“Boasy” struggled to her feet, gave
the Ford an indignant loof‘and beat
it for a nearby barn. absolutely un-
hurt.
This recalls the experience of cer
tuin members of a fishing club with
heathluarters at Bantam Lake who
were returning from a weekend
outing one night recently and on one
of the Rodding road ran down a
good- sized fox. Unfortunately the
