Corporations and All Per-

sons Whom It May Concern.
Rules and regulations for the impor-

tation of horses, asses, mules, cattle,
sheep, other ruminants and shine. in
effect. on and utter October 5th,1915.

Whereas, the disease known as the
“Foot and Moutn Disease" is again
prevalent in certain sections of the
United States, thereby. owing to its
infectious nature,
safety of all animals susceptible to
such disease within this State.

Now. be it known, that by fie au-
thority vested in the Commissioner on
Domestic Animals by Chapter 227 of
the Public Acts of 1915, the following
orders and regulations are hereby
made and declared to be in force from
this date:

Section 1'. No horses, asses, mules.
cattle, sheep. other ruminants or
swine shall be brought into the State
of Connecticut by any individual or
common carrier without the written
permission of the Commissioner on
Domestic Animals: such written per-
mit must accompany all way~bills or if
animals are driven or carted over the
highways must ie in the possession
of’man in 'charg,‘ of such animals.

Sec. 2. All horses asses and mules
brought into Connecticut must, in
addition to complying with the rules
and regulations dated January 15th,
1914, be properly disinfected before
shipment, and a certificate, approved
by the authorities having jurisdiction
of such matters in thestate from
which shipment‘ls made, showing that
such disinfection was properly made.
