Whereas, the disease known as the ' “Foot and Mouth Disease" is again prevalent in certain sections of the United States, thereby, owing to its infectious nature, endangering the safety of all animals susceptible to such disease within this State. No horses, asses, mules, cattle. sheep, other ruminants or swine shall be brought into the State of Connecticut by any individual or common carrier without the written permission of the Commissioner on Domestic Animals: such written per- mit must accompany all way~bllls or if animals are driven or carted over the highways must ‘0 in the possession of man in chain. of such animals. All horses asses and mules brought into Connecticut must, in addition to complying with the. rules and regulations dated January 15th. 1914, be properly disinfected before shipment, and a certificate, approved by the authorities having jurisdiction of such matters in the state from which shipment'is'made, showing that such disinfection was properly made, must be furnished the Commissioner of this State before such animals are released from quarantine.
