missioners of Fairlield county yester-
dny morning, Commissioner John
Brophy of Ridgefleld, was reelected
chairman d the board and Commis-
sionor Prank E. Ballard of Bridge
port. was reelected secretary. The
two commissioners yuterday began
their terms of four yours. having been
elected by the lust General Assembly

Court. Judge Miller will hold hearings
on the applications of the Connecti-
cut Humane Society for the commit
ment of seven Bridgeport children to
the County Home in Norwnlk.
Application has been made for the
nine; Viola Maloney, six, and Martha
Moloney, five, the children of Peter
Mziloney, who has tuberculosis and
who is being cared for at the Shel
' ton sanitarium. and of Sadie Maloney.
Awho is unable to work for the. sup-
} port of the children and make a home
for them at the some time.
The other four children who will
_ probably be sent to the home in Nor-
walk are Raymond Edmonds, 14; May
Edmonds. 11; Laura Edmonds. eight,
.and Helen Edmonds. tour. the chil-
dren of Henry 'Edmonds, deceased,
and of Alice Edmonds. who is on in-
' valid and unable to support her off
