Miss May Fitch, of 153 West street,
this city, lies in the Stamford Hospital
in a precarious condition, suffering
with a fracture at the base of the
skull, six broken ribs and a number

When hospital authorities were asked
this morning as to her chances for re-
covery, statement was made that it can
not be determined at this time it she
would survive. Miss Fitch was one ot
three passengers in a Stamford-
