tion of the workmens compensation
act is not limited to Connecticut, sc-
ccrding to an opinion handed down
yesterday by the state supreme court
'0! errors. The court, in an opinion
written by Justice Wheeler, reaches
this conclusion on a broad interpreta-
tion of the spirit of the act.
The cases in question were those of
lSophis Kennlson, administratrix. ag-
ainst the Thames Tow‘ooat Co.. of New
London county commissioners; an ap-
peal was taken to the superior court
of that county and the court asked
for. advice.
'Kennisou and Marsdaie were em-
ployed on a vessel that waswreckeo
in the navigable waters or the state
of New Jersey. A number of errors
were found in other cases and new
trials ordered.
