of the great railroad bridge disaster in
South Norwalk,May.6th, 1853, in
which fifty lives were lost.
Elmwood avenue residents, last
evening, complained concerning the
“queer" actions of a “strange” man,
hanging about houses in that vicinity
for over an hour. The appearance of
Officer Alex Benjamin was the man’s
cue for a disappearance.
