Notice is hereby given that a spec-
ial meeting of the stockholders of
The New York. New Haven and Hart—
ford Railroad Company will be held
at Harmonie Hall, 9 Elm street, in
the city of New Haven, Connecticut,
on Saturday, the 24th day of April,
1915, at twelve o'clock noon, to con-
sider and act upon the following
propositions:
1. To reduce: the capital stock of
this Company from 1,800,170 shares
to 1,571,179 shares by retiring and
can-celling’228,99i shares now in this
Company’s treasury.
2. To accept the amendment to the
charter of this corporation contained
in an Act of the General Assembly of
the State of Connecticut, approved,
March 19th, 1915, entitled "An Act
amending the charter of The New
York, New Haven and Hartford Rail-
road Company," and to authorize the
directors to exercise the powers there-
in conferred,
'1. To accept the amendment to lhe
charter of this corporation contained
in an Act passed by the General Asa
scinbly oi' the State of Rhode "sland
and Providence Plantations at its
January Session, A.-D.. 1915. and ap-
proved March 26, 1915, entitled “An
Act in Amendment of and in addition .
to an Act entitled ‘An Act to Incorpo-
rate The New York, New Haven and
Hartford Railroad Company. 3 Cor-
poration in this State,’ passed by the
General Assembly at its January Ses-
sion, A. D. 1893.”
4. To authorize the issue of bonds
by this Company as successor to the
“New York, Providence and Boston
. Railroad Company and as successor to
the New Haven and Northampton
Company, pursuant to the terms of
and for the purposes set forth in the
mortgages of said companies. dated
April ist,‘1892, and June 1st., 1906,
respectively.
Only stockholders of record at the
close of business April 10. 1915, will
be entitled to vote.
