Following a report which was said
to emanate from "Billy" Plan. of
Perth Amboy. secretary of the‘,Atl’an-
tic Magus had disbanded, came I
ll. Cox. oi Mlddletown. presgdent oi
the league, denying that the” league
had dissolved. and yesterday uni
nouncement was niade of a call for a
meeting at the directors of the league
to be held in the ethos ct President
Cox. in the Woolworth building, on
Wednesday afternoon, at two o‘clock.
Mr. Plan's announcement was based
on the fact that the Atlantic Magus
had sought admission to the Federal
league and been turned down. and
that because that had been considered
the last resort to put the league on its
test, its disbandlng was an assured

This announcement President Cox
contradicted in a statement in which
he atated'that his duties as mayor and
president of the State Mayor's Asso-
ciation of New York State. had» pre-
vented him from calling a. meeting
oi the league and that it was on this
account that the report that the
league had disbanded had gotten
about.
President Cox stated that while va~
rioas teams in the league had lost
heavily. alfairs in the league were not
as {bad as in some leagues. lie said
that in all probability the make-lip oi
