The main activities of the club are
carried on through four departments:
those of literature, music. art and civ-
ics. The first chairmen of these de-
partments are appointed by the exe-
cutive board. Later the chairmen are
elected by the members of their own
department. They are sx-oilicio mem-
bers of the executive board. Each
department in turn takes charge of
the program for a general monthly
meeting of the club, providing speaker
and entertainment along the line of
its own activities. Each department
also decides for itself (subject to the
approval of. the executive-board) the
amount of .work' it will take up and
the method to be pursued. its depart-
mental meetings may be as Jreonent
or as infrequent as the members do
