John Powell. a familiar character
about Norwaik. died suddenly at the
home of lils mother, Mrs. Mary Pow-
ell. 18 Wilton avenue. at 4 o'clock
this morning. Death came after only
a two days' illness. The cause was
Bright’s disease. The deceased was
54 years old and had lived in Nor-
waik all his life. Besides his moth-
er, Mr. Powell is survived by three
brothers, William J., Robert and
