lican gathering at Bridgeport. the
visits of Connecticut representatives
to their homes. and the conference

According to the ordinary Wash-
ington view. Governor Baldwin is
opponent.
Reresentative Malian, in the race
for the democratic senatorial nomi-
nation. Representative Kennedy,
who spent some days in Connecticut
recently and who has Just gone back
thsrqi says Baldwin is leading and
will be nominated.
Republicans Favor Malian.
0n the other hand, the republican
view is that Mahan is apt to win.
