the automobile campaign is over, the
next thing is to plan more work and
to seize more opportunities. Two
things are now C'~i‘lll).\lllg the minds
of the suffrage leaders—the best util-
ization of the opportunities offered by
the numerous fairs that are held in
\arious parts of the State during Sep-
teniiicr and October, and the effort to
persuade the political leaders of all
parties to adopt a suffrage plank in
their platforms before the election in
November. The second of these is a
work in which eiei‘y suffragiSt Can
have a part by writing to the party
leaders and by pressing the suffrage
demand upon the local tandidates for
tit’t‘llon to the Legislature.
The work at the fairs is being largo-
ly undertaken by the lot-3' leagues
in the towns where the fairs are held
and in neighboring towns. The Hart-
ford Equal Frant'hisp League takes
t-Eiargs of all arrangements for sut-
:‘rago work at the Connecticut Fair
which opens at Charteroak Park on
Labor Day. in other cases the
t-vuntt chairmen take in hand the ar-
rniigeiiicnts for suffrage representa-
titvzt at the fairs in their territory.
