lowing important notice to the grow-
ers of the country:
The beginning of August usually
finds the oyster industry awakening
to the consideration of plans for the
new season. Year after year the new
season is “begun with the main prep
aration being, as a rule, a good,
strong faith in the “bright prospect"
that is generally scented ahead and
an almost childish hope for a good
season. The faults and failures or
the former'season are usually not
taken much into account and in gen~
eral the oysterman makes no analysis
of the real situation, but depends up
on things breaking right.
