gine. Tile bearings are lubricated by
the splash system and the oil is
pumped into the main bearings and
troughs into which the cranks tip,

Graphite is not necessary While it
will not materially in lure the work
ing parts, nevertheless it may have a
tendency to clog up the various ail
ducts and grooves and possibly pre-
vent proper flow of oil to the respec-
tive bearing surfaces its use is not
necessary and the advantages to be
gained by its use are not worth the
experiment. Would suggest using a
J1igh grade oil as free from 'carbon
ingredients 1111 possible.
