The Third Taxing District of the
City of Norwalk came into possession‘
of the (Zr-owe property this morning,
and as soon as the bids are consider-l
0d and contract awarded for the new
municipal lighting plant. work on the
some win be commenced. The deeds
were given by Edmund E. Crows as
pert owner, and by the executors of
the estate of the late Mrs. Crowe at
the oihce oi Corporation Counsel Wil-
liam F‘. Tammany. who represented
the Third District in the transaction.
Judas Joseph R. Taylor appeared for
Ur. Crows. The piece of land deeded
to the District is bounded by Second
street on the north. on the east by the
west line of the proposed street. Bay-
view Place, and other land of the
grantors. on the south by Third street
’ and the channel of the Norwalk bar
her. and the west by Norwalk harbor
channel. .
. William lWaldron has secured a po-
sltion as carpenter with ii. V. Carr. of
Review avenue.

during the past six weeks, will remain
at the island during the summer. They
are occupying the Golden cottage.
The bathing floats at the East
Beach, Belle Island, have been made
ready for the seams and will be
launched in a day or two.
